Hampshire Poets Nos. 10–16 — Edited by Katherine Sparks (1973)
A rare and complete run of seven consecutive issues of Hampshire Poets, the literary pamphlet series edited by Katherine Sparks and published from Alverstoke, Hampshire. This lot comprises issues No. 10 through No. 16, spanning January to September 1973.
Each issue runs to either 32 or 36 pages and is presented in very good condition, with clean pages and firm covers. Issue No. 16 is a special Shakespeare celebratory edition — a highlight of the run. Some copies carry a small ex-library stamp to the cover, as noted.
Hampshire Poets was a modest but significant regional poetry publication of the early 1970s, and complete runs of consecutive issues are seldom encountered. An ideal acquisition for collectors of British small-press poetry, regional literary history, or 1970s ephemera.
